Press Conference of the Captaion from Titanic
Journalist A:"Captain Smith, what is your standpoint to the of the shipwreck?"
Smith:"First things first, please allow me to condole with the people who were dead in this marine peril. I failed to augur the accident and could not imagine the scene. It is not convience for me to talk more about the peril."
Journalist B:" Mr. Smith, I would like to know whether you had made a comprehensive understanding of Titanic before setting out, please."
Smith:" Well, I studied all thespecification fields of Titanic from the technician, Anderew, before leaving. I thought the ship was at a good status. in the mid-night, April 14th, I was informed that Titanic had impacted an iceberg while I made a connection with Anderew. He told me that it could not effect the ship's moving on. However, I am just a captain but not a technician. So I decided contnuing to avoid behind schedule. Think it or not, I think so."
Journalist C:" Sir. Smith, why were there no more lifeboats put up on the ship? Isn't it set up according to the fixed number of staff members or passengers?
Smith:" Anderew told me :' The ship is as solid as a rock. It won't sink even if three of the holds are broken. We put up less lifeboat for it in order to built more amusement facilities for people to while away the time.' As we all know, it is such a luxury ship. ' That is the justification he gave me. As to whether you believe or not, I do believe."
Journalist D:" Mr. Smith. There were six survivors found on the icey sea. Would you please explain why you did not try every means to save more people after the ship sank?"
Smith:"My reason is that the lifeboats were too full to hold more people. After the ship sank ,we still tried many ways to save more people in water, but failed. Finally we were all incapable. I have to say it is really such a wonderful achievement for the six people. As to whether you believe or not, I do believe."
JournalistE:" Mr. Smith, do you think it would be very safety for people by ship from now?"
Smith:" The marine perils has spreaded the seeds of psychological shadow. I completely understand people. Of course, we are also doing a good job in the aftermath. Now we are high on to improve the quality of ships. It is still safe to take a ship and please do not worry. As to whether you believe or not, I do believe."
